Last week, the CEO of MAP Innovation, Monica Ioannidou Polemitis attended The Next Web Conference TNW2019, that was successfully held in Amsterdam, 9 -10 May 2019.
The Next Web is one of Europe’s largest annual technology conferences, attended by start-ups, the largest technology companies, futurists and innovation boutiques from all over the world.
A great line-up of speakers covered a wide spectrum of topics such as women in tech, the future of trade and banking, smart cities and many more.
Monica Ioannidou Polemitis, gave a speech titled “The Future of Work”, focusing on the technological and demographic trends impacting the workplace.
Technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, combined with demographic trends such as the number of different generations working side by side in the workplace, the ageing workforce and increased mobility, are impacting jobs and the way businesses are structured and have created a need to revisit the educational systems globally and design policies that will address social security protection in the new diverse and fluid working environment and address issues such as the need for re-skilling and continuous education.
